An attempt to establish Dem core values
Link above not a bad post by Kos...along with my minor changes for an altered list (just by a little) His Core values are in bold. Any changes I've made to the list are in italics.

Right to die (change to Death with dignity, or Palliative Rights, I'm not signing on to the Duty to die train.)

Protecting our environment
Protecting our cultural heritage
Energy policy (that encourages development of alternative fuel sources.)
Opportunity (can we change this to Access & Opportunity?)
Education (pre-K, primary, secondary, college)
Worker rights
Social Security
Health Care
Gender equality (same pay for same work, etc)
Affirmative action
Tort laws to protect the little guys from Big Corp
Non-regressive tax laws
Gay marriage
Fair trade laws
Small business support
Protection of Access to public transport and public spaces.

Strong (not hollow) military (I wanna know what he means by this.)
Leadership on global issues (e.g. terrorism, landmines, global warming, etc.)Champion of human rights, at home and abroadLeadership in science and technology (e.g. stem cells, alternative energy, etc.)
Strong United Nations/Internationalism
Somebody get this to the DNC so when the Theocons say we stand for nuthin' we have something real to throw down.
